About Grayde

We built the payment company we needed and couldn't find.

Our founders spent a decade inside Canadian financial services: building payment operations, sitting through account reviews, and watching good businesses lose banking because a risk model didn't have a category for them.

The pattern was always the same. A lender, an agency, a marketplace with real revenue and a real compliance officer would be onboarded over six months, then reviewed out of the bank in six days. Nobody at the institution could explain the decision, because nobody at the institution understood the business.

Grayde exists to close that gap. We underwrite the flow of funds, not the industry code. We keep our scope narrow: Canadian dollars, domestic rails, no conversion, no cross-border. A narrow scope is a defensible one, and a defensible scope is what keeps your account open.

What we hold to

Say yes or say why

A decline with no explanation is what sent our clients here. Every decision we make comes with a reason.

Narrow beats broad

We do Canadian dollars on domestic rails, properly. We would rather be the best at four things than adequate at twenty.

Compliance is the product

The AML program is not overhead protecting us from you. It is the thing that keeps your account open.

Answer the phone

Every client has a named account manager with a direct line. Escalation is a person, not a form.

No surprise pricing

Published rates, no spread, no minimums. If your costs change, you hear it from us first.

Boring infrastructure

Money movement should be uneventful. We optimise for predictability over novelty, every time.
